These prints and moderizations of ancient Chinese Scripts were part of the preparatory work for a pain center commission. The paintings completed were entitled "Steps to the Healing of Pain" using these symbols to indicate the psychological phases of healing emotional pain.

The first three prints were collated with texts into an artist portfolio.
